Welcome to Forgotten Tales storybook character essence workshop! Here players can come together and discuss what storybook characters they are considering for their character's essence, their new potential abilities, and even ask for help if you can't think of anything on your own. REMINDER: We are NOT a memloss or AU game! The only things that are being altered are the character's abilities and maybe gain a small personality quirk, but that's all.

Here players can come together and discuss what storybook characters they are considering for their character's essence, their new potential abilities, and even ask for help if you can't think of anything on your own. REMINDER: We are NOT a memloss or AU game! The only things that are being altered are the character's abilities and maybe gain a small personality quirk, but that's all.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Workshop participation is required for Registration as this basically takes the place of the traditional application form, as well as posting to the Test Drive. You don't have to post together at the same time (you can do one first and then the other), but they are needed eventually.
- Participation in the Workshop does not guarantee a spot on either Claims or Registration, but you will need it to keep a Claim so there's no harm in trying early. Feel free to look over previous Workshops.
- Make sure to check the Character Roster and Essence List to see if your choices are not already taken.
- The character and essence don't necessarily have to perfectly match, and all characters will inherit characteristics and themes from that particular storybook character. You are free to be creative and take elements from related works and variations (like Disney), but try to keep it central to the original version. Refer to the Character section of the Game Info as a refresher on how essences and their abilities work.
- Storybook characters can be from any work of literary fiction such as fairy tales, folklore, fables, nursery rhymes, classics, plays, mythos, legends, etc. They can be well-known or obscure, and origins must pre-date the 1950s.
- Because the game currently doesn't allow duplicate essences, list your top preference and any others you're considering, but also be open for other suggestions. And if you see someone else list one you are considering, list it, anyway! Anyone could change their mind. Just don't be salty or badger anyone about their choice, otherwise it's an automatic boot out the door. The goal is to try to not only match the best essence to the character, but also one that people can have fun with.
- Although you can only register one character, you can workshop multiple in case you are having difficulties in deciding who to pick.
- Public Registration is closed until further notice, but anyone with an invite and current players can register at any time.

Bio Blurb: Instead of a full written history, please link a wiki page AND provide a 1-2 paragraph summary of the character's backstory. If no wiki page is available, that's okay; you're free to link a write-up if you have one or feel like making one. The summary is more of an "at a glance" to help those not familiar to get a basic idea of who the character is and what they were doing in their canon. If it helps, pretend you're writing a blurb for a CR Meme. What key important things about your character's history would you want to point out to others?
Personality Blurb: You are free to link to anything pre-written such as an app for another game, but for our purposes you must include a 1-2 paragraph blurb highlighting the main elements of the character's personality. If it helps, pick out up to 5 vices and 5 virtues that you'd associate with them and just toss in a few sentences about it. Again, you can pretend you're writing a blurb for a CR Meme.
Preferred Essence(s): Have one or a couple already in mind? List them here! Include reasons why you are thinking about that particular essence and how you would work it with the character.
Looking For: Open to other ideas? What kind of storybook character would you be interested in? Things you're not interested in should also be mentioned.
Appearance: Any notable features both for the character in general and any appearance or style changes you may be considering to match their essence.
Abilities: Whether you have an essence in mind or not, talk about what kind of abilities you're hoping to recreate or gain while in game. Any weapons that are going to be regained or explored? What abilities or weapons are lost? Skills?

Character: Usagi Tsukino
Canon: Sailor Moon (manga, post StarS events but before things like her wedding etc)
Age: 16
Bio Blurb: plot summary
At first Usagi Tsukino is a normal, lazy 14-year-old school girl, who loves sleeping, is bad at school and happens to be a huge crybaby... Then one day, a mysterious cat appears and changes her life by giving her a gift, that turns her into a magical girl! Then she and her new magical girl friends also find out, that she happens to be the reincarnation of Moon princess Serenity.
And since then her magical girl life has been a lot of suffering with all kinds of different enemies coming to fight them and killing them and kidnapping them and it really has been a lot in a very short time. But there have been lots of good things too including meeting her future daughter, getting to know about her own future in general and she gets to do all of this with her new best friends and the love of her life, who also have their magical secrets. It's fine, let the enemies march in, they can deal with whatever gets thrown at them!
But that's really all a secret magical life as not even her parents and little brother know about Usagi being anything else than a normal girl.
Personality Blurb: Cheerful and friendly sunshine girl, who makes friends easily and talks a lot. She's very energetic and lively, reacts to things easily and easily approaches anyone with a goal to be friends with everyone. Former crybaby, nowadays doesn't cry so easily and she's all about having fun and good times with people. Usagi loves everyone! She can be the most adorable big sister figure, loyal friend and devoted fiancée, but she's also a teeanger, who gets jealous and bickers a lot sometimes. She loves eating, she loves food in general. Are you lonely? Her senses will be tingling towards you to change that. What's personal space? It's like she's never even heard of that most of the time.
Downside of all that cheerfulness is how easily she can pretend to be cheerful even during the worst times of her life. This girl has seen A LOT during her super secret magical girl years; friends dying, the love of her life dying, everyone dying much more than once - it's okay, they can just be reborn/revived again and again. She's not the type to give up, she'll fight to the end bravely and she'll always be there for her friends, Mamoru and anyone else.
Preferred Essence(s): One thought thrown at me was Goldilocks and that's really cute but I don't know yet, open to ideas!
Looking For: uh, anything, kind of, mostly my thoughts went into directions like Aphrodite or some other goddess from some mythology (she's all about love and hope and happy endings), someone else with moon(light) based powers or a (Disney) princess?? But open to any ideas, whatever comes to mind from those things or anything else that comes to mind from this girl, help???
The rabbit of the Moon would just be cheatingAppearance: Here though that pic doesn't do justice for her amazing hair... 150cm (4'11"), blue eyes, blond hair, slim body. Loves girly and pink fashion style, wears skirts and dresses and all cute shirts / jackets / things along with them.
Abilities: Since she'll be losing all of her magical girl abilities, looking to recreate similar things possibly! Her canon skills include transforming into her past life sometimes but mostly transforming into a magical girl, who has skills like flying, powerful moonbeam attacks to turn enemies into dust, healing and reviving, summoning her weapon and recreating that and her wings when enemies break them. And she happens to have the most powerful crystal of her world, it has limitless powers, that depend on whatever Usagi wants to do with it. So anything from protecting people to healing them to recreating / reviving / rebuilding ... anything. (Her crystal will stay home I guess but take a shot anytime, when Usagi tries to turn into Sailor Moon here! XD)
So, looking for things like flying, healing, powers based on things like (moon)light, hope and love. Doesn't have to be all of them but magical girl getting some kind of other magical skills here would be great! She has a cute staff in canon, maybe she'll learn to summon a cute weapon here too, who knows.
Quirks: If she'd be Goldilocks -- did you leave your door open, while you went out? Sorry, you may find one moon rabbit in your home, where she has tried at least three different foods and other things before she's decided to possibly sleep on your bed. Unless you come home while she's still busy with food, sorry for raiding your home for that but she got hungry while she was out.
If it's something else, open to any ideas for these too!
Goal: Having fun, making new friends because she's great at that, helping/saving worlds without her crystal's powers magically doing all the work.
Extra: Never lived alone, she's still the girl, who walks home yelling "I'm home! I'm hungry! What's for dinner?!" and being alone doesn't suit her well anyway.... So idek, if she'll appear here, expect troubles with that or trying to find any solutions to that.
Questions: ...She'll still be as incredible at eating as ever, so hope you're ready for that?

Hello I'm Lucine (or Jojo whichever you want) and I play Junpei here (Persona 3) and Ryotaro Dojima (Persona 4) And was the one mentioning Having a Jadeite earlier!
Two ideas I wanna toss out is Snow White and Sleeping Beauty and they're for dumb classic Anime reasons.
Snow White or Sleeping Beauty-- Snow White cause of that one episode in the Alien Filler Season and Sleeping Beauty cause of that one Episode in Sailor Moon R.
For Snow White you'd get the evil queen (Adachi Tohru) And the Magic Mirror (Eugene from Tangled) as 'story' cast mates, after all. XD

Oh hello, nice to meet you here too! :D
I may have seen those episodes, hahah, at least I feel like I've definitely seen the Snow White episode! But it has been forever since I watched the anime up to... Some point, I have the exact episode up somewhere. I should finish that someday as I actually liked it despite playing from the manga side.
That said, those are fun and great ideas, I love them! Especially Snow White, or at least my ideas seem to go into her direction but gosh that'd be cute and those are great storymates! Suddenly she'd possibly be cleaning a lot, singing, actually good at cooking and baking, communicating with animals, having animals helping her clean... and whatever else.
