Pyra(/Mythra/Pneuma) | Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Player: Jade | [plurk.com profile] drinksteapots
Character: Pyra/Mythra/Pneuma
Canon: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 + prequel
Age: incredibly old, appears about mid 20s
Bio Blurb: Pyra's wiki page. Mythra's wiki page. Pneuma's wiki page. Main plot of Xenoblade Choronicles 2, but if that's too much, here is the shortened Aegis plot wiki page!

Eons ago, the Pneuma core crystal existed as a part of a triumvirate entity called the Trinity Processor, along with Ontos and Logos. They behaved as a collective mind, and they existed to monitor and regulate this entity called the Conduit, which is Xeno-series' multi-fold-dimensional, perfect eternal energy god. The Trinity Processor, linked to the Conduit, functioned like immune cells to the body that is the Conduit, protecting it and using its power to create and generate weapons, shields, and energy. Universe 1.0 got nerfed by someone tapping into the Conduit. Creation began anew under the Architect (new god) and the Trinity Processor. In the primordial stages of this new universe, Ontos split from the Trinity by triggering a space-time event and vanished, leaving the burden to rebuild and monitor the universe 2.0 along with regulating the Conduit to Logos and Pneuma. For "untold millennia", as it's said in canon, the two remaining of the Trinity Processor had all evolutionary data and pressures relayed back to them as the world formed and grew, eventually forming humans once more.

Fast forward to the prequel, and the Pneuma core crystal was stolen down to the earth, who was then awakened by a prince. The awakening imprinted the crystal with the bare bones of humanity. This aspect of the crystal began to refer to herself as Mythra. The events of the prequel took place, and Mythra slowly became more and more human. However, her presence in the war during this time left the world scarred because of her actions. Three great continents fell, including the kingdom of the prince she had been awakened by. She decided to seal herself and create another aspect of herself, Pyra, to be the main, weakened personality. Additionally, she sealed one of her swords in a continent half way across the world while agreeing to be sunken below the cloud-sea and remain in stasis for centuries as the world recovered from the war. Spoilers, it didn't recover. Her world is still dying.

Her one goal is to return to the Architect so that the rest of the world will be safe.

Personality Blurb:
♢♢♢Mythra is the personae that first appears on Alrest, and she is bold, undaunted and steadfast.  When she begins something, she finishes it, and this isn't just because of her own sense of stubbornness. She knows she has the ability to back her own words. She's quick to make decisions because of it. When something needs to be done, no matter how difficult Mythra will come to her own conclusions as swiftly as possible. She listens to her instinct, and she rarely doubts herself, to the point others may think her a simpleton or shameless. But to Mythra, one needs the confidence to act when they have power: she must believe that her decisions are the best ones she can make given what she knows and feels at the time, even if it may hurt another. That doesn't mean she is immune to guilt or error, of course, but just that she tries to mitigate any guilt that should come if she makes a miscalculation.

♢♢♢Pyra is the weakest form of the Aegis, yet her strength comes from her character: she is kind, sincere in her care, reserved, friendly, affectionate, and careful. She looks to help others when they are in need and is someone who is always willing to lend an ear. Pyra's gentle empathy is her best feature, allowing her to connect with others, to understand the world that she wants to protect. Pyra is demure, calm, not easily bothered, even more difficult to provoke. Pyra works to keep her power capped and sealed. Because that seal is what Pyra is: a self-imposed limit on the Aegis's power by Mythra, a dormant state where not all of her abilities are accessible... and where the world may be safe because of it.

Mythra/Pyra do not speak of themselves, and they're generally mum on what they are or capable of. And when they do, they talk very little. They'll let you keep assumptions and rarely clarify anything. Even if they happen to love you (and boy oh boy, they do love everything/everyone in this world), they'll still withhold critical information about themselves or how their world works, even from the protagonist of their game. Even the term "Aegis" isn't what they really are, that's just a name the humans gave them a long time ago. They are also, unsurprisingly, very guarded to the point of being unhelpful. If you're fatally wounded, they won't be tapping into more power to save your life, sorry. I'm not joking, this happens in canon.

Preferred Essence(s):
Not sure about this. Maybe some Hindu mythos thing going on, with Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva thing? The Pneuma core crystal is often times associated with creation, but it also has the privilege to destroy the world. Plus it's that whole three-personalities-in-one thing. Aaaand there's that whole thing about ~absolute truth~ that kinda ties into her attachment to the Conduit. IDK.

Or maybe some kinda mythical item? Rock? Sword? That they can be. Yeah, I'm open to whatever!!

Looking For:
Not sure, probably friends. PEOPLE TO TELL HER ABOUT THEIR WORLDS, their magic system, their... everything. She will listen. Prepare urself for lotsa questions, she'll be super interested in that shit.
H/C? Man oh man if your character needs someone to cry on she'll be there for them for sure.

Appearance:
She glows! That one is Pyra, who's going to be the main personality played here. Mythra is around ofc but she won't be interacting any time soon.
For more information, check out her permission post here in regards to her crystal on her chest. Otherwise, ignore the crystal if you don't care about it, which is totes fine with me.

Abilities:
Here is a link to them. TLDR energy and swords.

Quirks: NOT SURE, I can't think of any at the moment. But if anyone has some recs, I'm down to listen!!

Goal: Ultimate goal would be self-actualization. Thinking of herself as a person, not a crystal. That would be wonderful. Also, awakening Mythra and Pneuma. That would be swell.
