Welcome everyone to our CR Meme! Everyone new and old is invited to fill out the form and make a thread discussing what they'd like to do with their characters in their time here. Feel free to comment around and plot with each other! We're in sandbox mode, so everyone is free to chill and do whatever until our next campaign.

Character: Shizuo Heiwajima
Canon: Durarara!!
Essence: Frankenstein's Monster | Frankenstein
Brief Personality: A quiet guy who has superhuman strength and major anger management issues, but he's gotten better about it at his canon point. Other notable thing to know is he has a major hate grudge against Izaya Orihara so massive he has no issues actually trying to kill the guy if he ever even gets a whiff of his flea ridden scent. They have a history. Otherwise, Shizuo actually just wants a peaceful quiet life, but is denied this because of how his rage and strength can be so destructive (and Izaya). He smokes a lot; likes sweets; is quiet and unassuming; actually very kind; but also doesn't take much bullshit; did we mention the short temper; very protective and loyal of his friends because he considers them very precious since it's hard for him to actually make any (again because of his uh issues); can be surprisingly childish at times; and seriously he just wants a peaceful life and people to stop picking fights with him is this really so hard to ask?? Because he doesn't have a lot of close friends, he can be a bit awkward at times, but once you're in his circle, you have a very strong ally. No additional quirks!
Appearance: His style is similar to his trademark bartender suit, but it's also having patches and a bit "muddied" and "dirt stained" to fit the essence. His hair is also dyed blond—the real color is a dark brown. Sunglasses are a must.
Abilities: Mentioned the superhuman strength, and this is without his Essence. Seriously, he can rip up street signs and throw them like spears, kick cars like they're rocks, throw motorcycles, stop an excavator with his shoulder and suffer only a badly broken arm; and shake an entire building frame to shake someone out. He drank a lot of milk to strengthen his bones since he was a kid—clearly it paid off. Along with being a brawler, he also knows parkour, though it's just as unrefined. Still, he can climb up buildings with ease and take a hit no problem. This same strength is at play with his Essence only boosting it even more. If completely enraged, he can hit a "Berserker" state where he loses his sense of awareness and just attacks until the thing is dead. This uses up the rest of his strength, however, so at the end he's severely weakened. Additional Essence abilities is the ability to summon a giant shovel, but he's used to using his fists so probably won't be seen much. His other "ability" is conjuring lightning and electricity around him, which increases the angrier he gets. Getting struck by lightning will immediately send him into the Berserk state. He's weak to fire and ice elements.

Currently: Just doing what he can to help out around the place and try to make some lasting connections with everyone. Although not a peaceful life, he's not being hounded by gangs trying to pick a fight, so that's a major plus.
Future Ideas: Hmm, I do have this ~~mean~~ idea about him going Berserk and accidentally hurting someone he knows. (Hyde excluded). Nothing terrible, but his fear about his strength and hurting others is still an ongoing issue. He's glad that here it's actually useful, but there are still risks. Alternatively, where his strength is used to really help someone in need to help bolster his confidence.
Shipping: I'm open 8D Shizuo is dense and oblivious to this kind of thing. He'd probably need a push, but he can do well with most personalities, I think. Maybe not the "loud" types.

Housing: A very "Frankenstein" looking Victorian home.

Location: In the city
What does it look like?:
Extra Fun Things: The entire thing is weird looking and he can actually power up the electricity on his own lmao. But it does have a lab in the basement, something he doesn't mess with. If anyone wants to use it, he won't mind so long as they're responsible and not doing anything weird with it.

Seeking: Frands. Anyone who is willing to put up with Shizuo's insane strength, quick trigger temper, and quiet nature. Also I am a terrible personal, but anyone who can aggravate him for that sweet negative CR.
Offering: Shizuo can be a very good bodyguard type for those who need it. He's great with kids, too, so he fits in the "older brother"/"uncle" type. Or if just want someone to have some quiet time, he's great for that.
Not Interested In: Manipulation. He has to deal with that with Izaya so I should try to be kind... ...That said I'm still kind of open to it, so just kind of depends on what it is and the end goal.

Anything Else: I wasn't lying about the excavator.

I really enjoyed the thread we had with Shizuo and Bridge that one time, and wouldn't mind seeing how else they'd interact. Crane might also be interesting to throw at him.

It was a very nice thread, so I'd definitely be up for more! Shizuo could use more nice friends... Though Crane would definitely be cool. Maybe he can give some tips for him lmao.

I know I have two other characters but it's really hard to focus on them when I'm so psyched for this... Victor Frankenstein and Frankenstein's Monster mess. I could even see Varian liking Shizuo well enough, so... I don't know, but it's going to be great. Are we going to continue the TDM thread and make it game canon?

And okay, the other two: I can see Della treating Shizuo in a vaguely similar way she treats Penumbra, because quick trigger tempers just... Remind her of her favorite person. She'll also be super impressed by his strength! And Hunk and Shizuo is not CR I had thought about, but I think it could work well for another "older brother" sort of CR case.

I KNOW I'M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS MATCH UP especially since Shizuo himself has nothing against Varian so he's like "Shut up, Monster B|" all the time lmao. And like I said before, Shizuo has that lab in his house so as long as Varian doesn't like, you know, try to destroy things he'd be fine with him using it. Aaah it would be fun if we're able to convert the relationship so it's like Monster actually helping Victor. Perhaps help amend the two Essences....??? Something, I have no idea lmao. EDIT: I FORGOT TO MENTION yes I'd like to continue the thread and use it as canon! We can either continue on TDM or bring it over to the Intro Log.

And oooooomg Della treating him like Penumbra, /starry eyes!! That would be so cute and wonderful please yes. She might even see some of Donald when he explodes LMAO. GETS ANGRY FOR THOSE HE WANTS TO PROTECT and can't catch a break to save his life.

I'd be down with Shizuo giving Hunk a different kind of older brother (maybe uncle) type CR! Shizuo would probably be more of the, "Don't push yourself kid /light headthwap that may or may not lead to a minor concussion."
