Oh man this helps a whole lot, thank you! Pinocchio is definitely easier to come up with ideas for, but the idea of Rudy being afraid of beautiful people is hilarious and I live for things like that. I also was thinking that maybe a combat ability for the Ugly Duckling could be throwing feathers like knives, but the more he throws the more he throws the more self conscious of his "uglyness" he would become. Then as he gets stronger he'd be able to throw more/not get as anxious.

It's still going to be a tough choice between the two essences though!
