There's a familiar figure and voice calling out that has Sora's attention pretty much instantly. He turned just in time to see Scrooge get hit with a blast of magic, mouth gaping open that someone would attack the duck in the first place.

"Scrooge!" Sora's feet carry him to Scrooge's side. "Are you okay?" Not for one minute does the boy think that the duck may not recognize him. While catching the thief is important, he wanted to make sure that Scrooge was okay too.

Fortunately he can sort of do both as in a flash of light, he summoned one of his gunblades to his hand. It shot off a blast of water at the cat, hoping to knock it off-balance at least.
