The witch in the story, if he remembered correctly-- which, no guarantees he did-- wasn't a villian so much as an... enabler? Helped the plot along, despite the hardships the little mermaid would go through because of it. Not exactly the happiest role.

Arthur was a King, sure, but his Kingdom only lasted so long before infighting and betrayal amoung the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's own family caused it's collapse.
Add in the uncomfortable adultery element and it wasn't... exactly a story Dojima was looking forward to playing out.
