A. Wild Magic Carpets (This prompt uses the idea of her having an Icarus essence, while the rest are intentionally left ambiguous so I can try out anything that may be suggested to me on her workshop post.)
[Della had, of course, been all psyched to try a magic carpet ride... Yes, she can fly on her own with her weird arm-wings, but she's still getting used to that; learning how to stay in the air for extended periods of time.
And if anything, when the carpet starts doing its own thing, that just gets her more excited.]
Whoo!
[It's all fun and games until her carpet crashes into a market stall. Della's sent tumbling to the ground, the carpet flies off without her, and the owner of the stand is not happy with the damage Della's done.]
Hey, it wasn't my fault! That carpet just decided to-!
[The shopkeeper doesn't want to hear it, clearly. Help a duck out?]
B. Try Out the Journal
[Bored one evening, Della decides to crack open the journal and have some fun with that. She can't draw well, but she doodles her family all the same. Somehow, they manage to look more like eggplants with small bodies than ducks.]
That's my family. The little ones are my sons: Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The guy with the hat and cane is my uncle, and that angry-looking one is my brother. None of them really look like that.
[She misses them, but that much is probably rather obvious.]
C. Little Red and the Wolf
This is embarrassing...
[Really, now. She's a grown woman, why is she in the role of some little girl in a cloak? She's not exactly familiar with this fairytale - it doesn't translate well into a world where all animals live side by side without, you know, eating each other - so Della's main focus is getting through the maze with the Wolf's help. Or without it. She doesn't really care, she just wants to start mamking turns.]
Oh, well. Come on, let's go!
[She runs off, taking the first left, and calling behind her:] Are you coming, or not?
D. Wildcard! (If nothing here strikes your fancy, feel free to go with anything else!)
