Chise Hatori | The Ancient Magus' Bride

Player: Melonbread
Character: Chise Hatori
Canon: Volume 10, Chapter 50: The cowl does not make the monk I
Age: 16
Bio Blurb: Wiki.

Chise began her canon as an extremely depressed young woman but has now found purpose and meaning in her life. Chise has been able to see fae and spirits since she was a child and the series refers to her as a Slay Vega (or a sleigh beggy at times). Slay Vega are said to be more fae than human, both capable of producing their own magic and absorbing that from the environment. I made this entry for a previous game that explains it a little better.

She relishes small things still, like being called normal, making friends and having a family. She takes to unusual circumstances easily for the most part, though she does get tired easily after confronting a lot of new things.

Preferred Essence(s): In some ways I've always sort of associated Chise with the story of Mr. Fox, or the Robber Bridegroom. Not that Elias is quite the character Mr. Fox is but like it or not, Elias is a fae. His actions with Stella in the series more than show he's capable of ill intent and as he tells Chise, that is his nature because like it or not, the morals of a fae are not the morals of a human. I could also see Chise with Beauty and the Beast, though in some ways she or Elias could be both Beauty or Beast interchangeably (she is technically still cursed by a dragon after all).

Looking For: I'm not really in for anything that delves deeper into depression but anything involving cursed protagonists would probably work well!

Appearance: I don't believe I would change her much. Maybe if I went with Mr. Fox I would give her fox ears, just because.

Abilities: Increased sneakiness and an insatiable curiosity. She already has both of those though.

Quirks: I haven't really thought about this part yet.

Extra: Nothing at the moment, I don't think. Chise has worked through a lot of her initial issues in canon and so this would be more of an... exploration and helping others thing. And enjoying life, in a way.

Questions: Not at the moment.
