§ schedule
Here is our current schedule:
We expect to have at least a two month break after this campaign. As you can see we've already set the dates for the new TDM, Workshop, and Public Registrations, however these are subject to change and will be reconfirmed in our next set of Game Notes once Break Starts. This should be the expected timeframe, however, so players can at least anticipate what to expect once the campaign ends after this Act. In addition, you may notice a "Part 2" Event scheduled on there. Although not complete, some details are mentioned at the end of the Notes.

§ act summary
You get a murder and you get a murder and you get a murder—
And now, the story thus far...
Well. That Act sure escalated quickly, and things aren't going to let up!
§ act iii details
We're finally heading to the finish line and things have been pretty crazy due to the last Act. But that craziness won't end as something very strange is happening to the story environment around everyone. Although the plot itself has become twisted, everything's been moving steadily along, and yet…?
Setting. At first everything looks like things are on the up and up. Although still maintaining a dreary atmosphere, the world itself looks more normal and although the populace is on edge due to the plotline, they are definitely livelier. It really feels more like living in a bustling city than one that's just making the motions.
However, this all changes about midway through the scene plays. Aspects may feel a strange twinge at their cores; an uncanny, ominous sense of danger that soon reveals itself to not be unfounded. There are visible cracks throughout the city, from the city to the ground to the sky: small tears and fractures that are impossible to not notice. Strange creatures roam the streets, Blocks randomly disappearing or even transforming into these abominations, and the number of Erasers increases. On top of it all, the Aspects themselves will have their own behavioral issues.
What in the world is going on?
Main Scenes. We have 6 main scenes with two of them sorted together.
Scene 3: Frankenstein's Monster and Henry Jekyll Eventually Jekyll goes to Victor's home to find that Stixen had taken Victor's body to the lab with research scattered all over the floor. Seeing Jekyll, Stixen begs the scientist to try and revive his "father." [Note: there are multiple ways this scene can go, from Jekyll refusing to him trying but failing. If an attempt is made, the end result will either be a failure or an abomination is formed instead. If going to attempt creation, the two will need to find materials to use and there will be notes from Victor's research on creating the original monster and the plant that can be used. Whoever is playing Jekyll will also have some knowledge on how to use everything to fit the role. ]
Scene 4: Henry Clerval and Gabriel Utterson. Meanwhile, Clerval and Utterson meet in the town square to try and help by searching for Hyde. The monster must be stopped before there's another victim. However… Instead of searching for Hyde, Aspects will notice something strange occurring around them and will be preoccupied with that instead. Chunks of buildings missing, Blots suddenly disappearing or even killed without any visible sign of a culprit, strange abomination monsters prowling the streets. There's even a surprise appearance of the plant monster. At times they might see a shadow of Hyde—like a literal shadowy figure with a creepy face—flitting about here and there to lead them into traps, sometimes multiple shadows at once. But this shadow and any form of Hyde cannot be caught.
Scene 5: Edward Hyde and Henry Jekyll Hyde confronts Jekyll with the intent to kill his creator. However, for some reason all attempts to do so end up...strange. [Note: Something weird is going on in this scene. Every attempt Hyde makes to kill Jekyll is thwarted by some strange occurrence. From weapons turning to harmless objects to random interference like objects or animals suddenly appearing. Even the environment seems to change. If Hyde takes a swipe, a hole might suddenly form for Jekyll to fall in and appear behind Hyde instead. Although it's possible for Hyde to actually Jekyll, it'll be far more difficult and easier for Jekyll to escape. Although not required, please let us know if Jekyll will live or die.]
Scene 6: Frankenstein's Monster and Edward Hyde Outside of town as a blistering blizzard rolls in, Stixen hunts down Hyde who is patiently waiting for them. The two fight for their own reasons, but who will be the victor? [Note: This scene has been pre-determined to be cast with Shizuo and Kazuma in their respective roles.]
Sub quests. In the beginning of the Act, the town seems normal if more chaotic due to the events that results in Act II. However, mid-way through the scene plays, things start to change and a different kind of chaos will keep everyone busy.
Should any of the two meet each other, they will be immediately hostile with "Hyde" personalities taunting and trying to coax the "Stixens" to be more like them. It is possible for a "Stixen" to switch to a "Hyde." It is also possible for anyone not affected to try and snap the other out of it, or at least convince those who are under "Hyde" influence to focus their violence on other problems instead of each other. A solid hit to the head will work wonders.
Creepy Crawlers. There is an abundance of abominations roaming through the city—failed creations that will attack anyone on sight. The robotic reindeer are still around and will try to aid in clearing them out, but some will actually be consumed and mutate instead.
Emergency Book Repair. The very book itself is starting to tear apart and it worsens after the final battle scene. Buildings starting to crumble, Blots disintegrating, even the very ground ripping open. If this keeps up the story will be destroyed. Fortunately, the Aspects aren't left helpless. Ribbons made of white light and runic symbols appear here and there as if trying to help "stitch" things together. Using their Essences, Aspects can find these "ribbons" and gather them to spread over other places. Use of Essence abilities will also help with patching things up, as if the use of them is reaffirming the story’s existence itself. Buildings will start to be repaired, cracks in the earth sealed over, and possibly blots restored, though some of the construction work may be a little patchy. That building wasn’t always partially made of straw or gingerbread, but it might be now!
And final reminder that time is ambiguous so we don't need something to finish before we move onto the next. That's part of the pre-planning!
§ cast sign-up
Here are the list of roles for this Act:
Frankenstein's Monster: Scenes #1, 3
Edward Hyde: Scenes #5
Henry Jekyll: Scenes #2, 3, 5
Henry Clerval: Scenes #1, 4
Gabriel Utterson: Scenes #2, 4
Each character role has its own sign-up thread and will be frozen once filled. Sign-ups are a first come first serve, but we do ask everyone to include a second preference just in case people need to be switched around. To keep things fair, we'd like everyone to follow these instructions:
To reiterate, we have more players and characters than we do roles, so we want to have as many players participate as possible during the campaign as a whole. Hence some of the stricter requirements to ensure a larger spread. Of course, after one or two days, it's a free for all and players can sign double up and fill in as they'd like or as necessary.
Sign-ups will last until Saturday, January 2nd and we'll give final calls on Friday if necessary.
§ "part 2" event
As hinted through the scenes, something odd and ominous is going on during this Act. What that is will be revealed once everyone is back in the Index. You can consider this more like an "Epilogue" of sorts, however it will be treated more like an event. It should last about two weeks with a small break between the end of the campaign and the event to allow some breathing room for the players.
Because of this, upcoming Campaign Rewards will be a little shortened (no costumes) and the Commission Board may be pushed to March to coincide with the Public Registration. If enough players would like us to go ahead and post the Board we can do so. Otherwise it is more likely to go up in March.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please tell us now or sometime before the end of the campaign so that we can adjust things accordingly.
§ end notes
And that's all for now! If you have any questions, feel free to comment to the post.

§ act summary
You get a murder and you get a murder and you get a murder—
And now, the story thus far...
Some time after we last saw Hyde (Mordred) and the illustrious Dr. Jekyll (Reaper), Hyde approaches the doctor to demand some sort of recompense for being the doctor's experiment; after all, Hyde pointed out, they can't get good data on an "unhinged man" if Hyde's limited in what he can actually do. Though Hyde threatens him, Jekyll is able to keep calm and compromise with his test subject on the matter of pay. He once again warns Hyde to avoid drawing too much attention to himself. Hyde assures him that he knows what he's doing.
A few days later, Mister Utterson (Ren Amamiya) is called to Jekyll's house (Ryotaro Dojima) to discuss some personal matters. The old friends take a few moments to clear the air between them, to allow Utterson a moment to vent to his old friend, before the settle down to the business Jekyll called his solicitor for in the first place: adjusting his will to leave everything to one Mister Hyde. Utterson is appalled at the very idea, but Jekyll eventually confesses that he and Victor Frankenstein were working on creating life and that Hyde is a vital part of these experiments. It only makes sense to leave all of his money and property to a known criminal who would probably kill you as soon as look at you.
Perfect sense.
That night, as the young Danvers (Ken Amada) is out walking, Hyde (Makoto Yuki) decides it would be a wonderful idea to kill an innocent man in cold blood. A few hours later, Stixen (Ragna) finds Hyde (Jean Kirstein) in an alleyway covered in Danvers's blood. Tired of trying to play nice with the "normal" humans, Hyde points out that the two of them will never be accepted for what they are, so he and Stixen should just kill them all. Stixen admits it's a solution, but is not entirely convinced. The two part ways.
As Hyde (Yu Narukami) returns home to Jekyll (Tohru Adachi), Jekyll has had enough. He realizes what happened last night when he sees the Hyde covered in blood, and that is a line too far. Jekyll demands Hyde stop. Hyde decides that he doesn't want to stop, but instead take over Jekyll's life. The two fight, and Jekyll is locked in his cellar, leaving Hyde free to do whatever it is he wants.
The next day, Stixen (Zidane Tribal) is wandering around and thinking about what Hyde suggested. He runs into the young Agatha de Lacy (Karkat Vantas), who is trying to get her cat down from a tree and is very clearly annoyed. Stixen, still wanting to help people, climbs up the tree in an impressive display of acrobatics and rescues the girl's cat. Agatha is impressed and the two start to form a very tentative friendship before parting ways. Unfortunately for them both, Hyde was watching.
As Stixen was saving kittens from trees, Utterson (Crane) rushes to Jekyll's (Luca Balsa) house to report Danvers's murder and ask him to come look over the body. He's distraught to find the poor man having a panic attack in his cellar and hurriedly gets him out of there. Jekyll hates what science has become since his younger days, though Utterson does point out that it was always a little unsettling, and things are about to get a lot worse. Upon inspecting the body, Jekyll realizes that this was the man Hyde had killed.
That night, disgusted at what he had seen earlier that day, Hyde (Eizen) tracks down the de Lacy house and sets it on fire. Agatha (Rokurou) flees the scene; Hyde gives chase. Eventually, the poor girl is torn limb from limb by the now monstrous Edward Hyde. When the girl's body is discovered, a mob forms outside of Victor's (Minako Arisato) lab, demanding that Stixen (Ren Amamiya) face justice. Victor knows that the girl's death was not Stixen's fault, and so the two try to calm the people down to no avail. Eventually, they resort to rooting around the lab for something to use to force them to calm down, allowing Victor to escape and get help.
Victor (Naomi Kimishima) eventually finds Jekyll and begs him for help. Jekyll, of course, agrees, but he first insists that Victor join him at his home and all but forces Victor to follow. As they get closer to Jekyll's home, Victor realizes that it is not Jekyll at all but Hyde (Kazuma Asougi) and tries to get away. He fails and, realizing that there is no hope for him, is gentle and almost calm. Hyde, in one more act of brutal violence, stabs Victor through the heart.
Well. That Act sure escalated quickly, and things aren't going to let up!

What in the world is going on?
Main Scenes. We have 6 main scenes with two of them sorted together.
- Scene 1: Frankenstein's Monster and Henry Clerval
When Victor doesn't return, a sudden fear grips them and he manages to create the rest of the knockout powder to subdue the remaining mob and sneak out. However there are still people after him and it's only pure luck that Clerval runs into him to help. The two must avoid notice from the people as they sneak through town to Jekyll's home, only to find him dead. How will Stixen react to seeing his "father" dead? - Scene 2: Gabriel Utterson and Henry Jekyll Having been informed of these tragic events by Clerval, Utterson races off in search of Jekyll and after finding him, brings him back home just in time to see Stixen take Victor's body away. The scientist breaks down and immediately runs into the building down to his lab to destroy everything. Utterson must either try to stop him or aid him in the destruction, but he should also try to calm his friend. What can they do to stop Hyde?
Sub quests. In the beginning of the Act, the town seems normal if more chaotic due to the events that results in Act II. However, mid-way through the scene plays, things start to change and a different kind of chaos will keep everyone busy.
- Pick a side, any side. Early on, everyone will start feeling not quite themselves throughout most of the act. It can range from mild to severe and last for varying lengths of time, but the effects will always be temporary. Characters will either take on a "Hyde" personality or a "Stixen" (Frankenstein's Monster) personality.
- "Hyde" side. Will have erratic, immoral, and violent tendencies. Those who have non-human Essences can become more monstrous and transform at will, even capable of hiding their transformed self while still able to use some of those powers.
- "Stixen" side. Will be the opposite with a more curious, polite, and generous disposition. Those who have non-human Essences will more often be stuck in their transformation; alternatively they will only transform when enraged and become more violent in this time.
- "Hyde" side. Will have erratic, immoral, and violent tendencies. Those who have non-human Essences can become more monstrous and transform at will, even capable of hiding their transformed self while still able to use some of those powers.
- There's another reason to destroy the abominations: any not killed will be captured by an Eraser and loaded into one of the many airships to fly towards a darkened space in the sky. For what reason is unclear, but it's best not to wait and find out. Stopping the Erasers and destroying the airships will be paramount.
And final reminder that time is ambiguous so we don't need something to finish before we move onto the next. That's part of the pre-planning!

- Please sign up for one role first and then double up if slots are still open by the end of the sign-up. This applies to players with multiple characters as well. Pick one first and then wait a day or two before signing up with your other characters to allow other players a chance.
- If you signed up in the previous Act, please wait at least a day or two before signing up to allow players who have yet to participate a chance.
- If participating again, please pick a different role than what the character had before to allow some variety. If you had multiple characters, try to pick a role none have participated in if possible.
- We ask for back-up volunteers to fill in any remaining open roles by the end of the sign-up period.
- Please only sign up if you will be able to tag consistently and often enough to progress the threads in a reasonable and substantive manner.
