I - A; the best Alvin is one that doesn't talk

[So... Princess? That's her Essence, apparently. And that does explain how she is dressed, including the small, silver crown adorning her head. She's not sure how these Essence assignments work and all, but that's not what she would've picked for herself. It would've been something cooler, like a maiden warrior! Whose won countless battles! Assuming these Essences stuck to fairy tales, strictly. Else she would've accepted someone with the power to move people with words, which is what she strives to do as a journalist.

It's disappointing, but she'll live. Probably. But not without complaining about it a little.

More importantly is that she lost Alvin after they both went through that book...

But she's sort of gotten sidetracked from looking for him, instead using her time exploring the area and taking in the scenery.

After walking around for what seems like forever, she manages to come across what looks like a sort of market place, with what appear to be boutiques lining the cobblestone street. In a few of them she sees some clothing, and takes a few minutes looking at the cute clothes, like ones with pants, cute as this dress is, it's not great for mobility. She's definitely considering changing her outfit...

And that's when she hears a lot of noise coming from somewhere nearby. Like a screeching cat... and... a frog? It sounds awfully close. But by time she figures out where it's coming from, something attaches itself to her leg, just as the cat comes around the corner and runs in another direction, as if it lost sight of whatever it was chasing.

Huh.

Then she glances down at her leg to see what's there and screams immediately, too freaked out to actually get a good look at what it is, and manages to fall backwards and land right on her backside. All she knows is that something slimy and clingy is on her and she reaches down to blindly swat it off, but stops when she notices it's a frog... with a little crown atop its head.

She blinks in astonishment several times, hand frozen in mid-air, just letting this sink in- because it's not every day you see a frog wearing a crown, but it's also, fortunately, really, really cute.]

Awww, what a cute little frog! And we've got matching crowns. [gently unlatches it from her leg, holding it under its little froggy arms. she brings it closer to inspect it, then something dawns on her.] Oh, hold up! I wonder if you're the frog prince that's related to my essence-thing?

[As if the frog could give her an answer.

Anyhow, she's the Princess (with no name, apparently, what kinda lazy story writing is that?) from some story called The Frog Prince. She's... never heard of such a story. And doesn't really know what to do with the little frog, but she should probably take it with her to find Alvin in case it's important to her or her Essence, somehow.]

Maybe you're like a pet or something...? [she looks it over, then seemingly recalls something.] Actually, you kinda look like someone I know, but way cuter.
