She did pause, needing a moment as fingers had stilled on Toto's fur, the small dog's head bumping against her hand enough to bring her fully back. Her head tipped, something in those sharp green eyes of hers- "I did," because no one else would have. He'd done his job well enough, along with others, that she didn't even have a penny to her name. So she'd been leaving, because she could never go home again. Her Wonderland had been saved for now, but she still needed to live.
"What I know I lived through is... part of why I'm not terribly bothered by what was mine as a child seems to be a story. It isn't my Wonderland exactly, but it is still a world to escape. Cheshire helped far more than any."
