That's true, it does make more sense! And thinking more on it, there's definitely a lot more interesting aspects of keeping him to Egyptian mythology. Especially considering Bayek is a religious man there would no doubt be some conflict in his essence, this pride that he was chosen to represent them but at the same time a deep fear he's not worthy of the visage.
Looks wise? I'm absolutely down for Anubis because I'm biased too, oops. I think Amun-Ra does fit very well, it molds to who he thought himself as, but for all the conflict he's experienced I wonder if Anubis wouldn't be better for who Bayek has become? To let him grow and accept the next part of his life.
Both abilities would be super useful, I do like that. And I didn't think about both for his transformations either! Depending on the level and type of response would be fun to play with how he transforms.
