You could say that, yeah. I've had magic pretty much all my life, but it's only recently that I've had to really practice it.
[ After all, it was one thing when trying to harness Magica's magic through an amulet. It's entirely different now that the powers were her own. ]
I don't seem to have that magic here, though.
