Yeah, you felt the same to me. It's normal for essences from the same story or mythology to 'recognize' one another.
[ Let's just side step the whole 'you banged my wife' thing, for now. ]
There's a girl here who's actually Mordred from Arthurian legends, but she's got the essence of something else. Her situation is a bit complicated, though.
[ Let's also not confuse both Dojima and Sylvain by trying to understand Fate/ series lore. ]
Now, as for the future comment... [ A deep sigh, but Dojima would try his best. ]
Time and Space don't seem to mean much, here. We're all drawn in from different worlds and timelines. I knew about Arthurian legends-- at least some of the very basic things, but plenty of people here have never heard of it. I come from the Planet Earth, in the country of Japan in the year 2011. One man I've met is from 2075. Another man is from the 1900s, but we're all from Earth.
...And then there's the talking Duck people...
[ That last bit was a little more mumbled before Dojima shook his head. ]
In my time, swords, spears and horses aren't used for combat in armies anymore. We have machines and mechanical weapons that have replaced them... along with modernizing technology, medicine, entertainment, and other things. The Index feels like the past, to me.
