Don't call me "missy", and then maybe we'll have a deal.
[She's too principled to let anyone come to harm if she can do something to prevent it, but the dismissive name rankles a lot. After a year's time of running familiar dungeons with a tight knit team, it's a harsh reminder that she's out of her depth again, among people who are strangers and know nothing of what she's capable of.
But she managed once, so she can do it again. God forbid she fail here after all that. Minako lets out a yell at the mantis diving for her legs, slamming her staff into its face with full force like a bat to a baseball. It staggers back with a screech, and she uses the momentum to swing her weapon around her head and bring it down on the top of its skull with a loud crack. It gives a dying screech, and as it sinks down to the ground, Minako jumps up and kicks off from its corpse, spinning to deliver another blow to a second mantis.
A small explosion scatters some of the others, and her eyes dart around to pinpoint the cause of them before widening. More of them are coming down the beanstalk, and along the way they're jostling the pome-grenades and stinky durian bombs growing among the leaves.]
