Welcome everyone to our CR Meme! Everyone new and old is invited to fill out the form and make a thread discussing what they'd like to do with their characters in their time here. Feel free to comment around and plot with each other! We're in sandbox mode, so everyone is free to chill and do whatever until our next campaign.

Rokurou Rangetsu

Character: Rokurou Rangetsu
Canon: Tales of Berseria
Essence: Huntsman | Little Red Riding Hood
Brief Personality: Rokurou is a very laidback daemon with a rather "positive" attitude in the sense that he doesn't sweat the small stuff too much and just rolls with most things. As a war daemon, fighting is pretty much his life and what he enjoys most, with the sword being his one true love beloved favored weapon. He follows the role of the "samurai" fairly well, living up to those codes and his family name. Can be super loyal and supportive, will repay any debt he owes, will look out for the younger crowd, and just overall a nice and fun guy to be around, especially at a bar. Loves that alcohol. He can also be a little bit of a fun jokester and a troll. But hidden beneath that nice guy exterior is a dark ball of rage that only surfaces when he's really into his fight. He doesn't like being interrupted. Period. A lot of that rage comes from his hatred for his older brother, but a lot of that has been resolved. He's otherwise pretty chill.

Thanks to his Essence, however, he has an initial repulsion against wolves. He personally doesn't care all that much so it doesn't last long, but it makes certain developments interesting.
Appearance: Mostly omething like this, sometimes this; it always has some red to fit the "Red Riding Hood" theme. In general it's usually lightweight and leather to fit with the Huntsman theme. The real notable things about Rokurou's appearance are his daemon markings and his daemon eye. His eye is hidden by his hair most of the time, but his markings are always visible. They can be easily mistaken as tattoos, and he won't mind it.
Abilities: He excels in dual short swords but he also dual wields greatswords. I use those terms, but since they're kind of vague his traditional weapons are actually styled after the wakizashi (short) and odachi (long). With his essence, he now has gunblades, with the short swords functioning like pistols and the greatswords similar to rifles. The bullets are ~magic~ and can have elemental properties to them. He also regained two his original blades, so he has a total of six swords. He gained the ability to store them in hammerspace so really he can have all six on him at all times and will probably be able to increase that, so... Like I said above, he's a sword nut. So aside from being a unlimited bladeworks swordsman, through his Essence Rokurou has a higher proficiency in tracking. Picking up trails, spotting telltale marks, etc. Through his daemon eye, he'll also be able to pick up blood trails and auras. He can also perceive weaknesses with his daemon eye, but only obvious ones (gotta keep training). He's also more in tune with nature in the sense that he can kind of read the atmosphere like one would expect from a huntsman. Because of his Essence, he can also sense and detective wolves more readily. Fire and earth are his main elements.

Currently: He's just kind of chilling, enjoying the new challenges that the world and the stories they're dropped into provide him. During the downtime, when he's not training or enjoying a drink with friends, he hunts. A lot.
Future Ideas: Don't really have too much currently planned. Had a small idea of him selling some of his hunts or offering his services as another source of income. I plan to let him have a hawk and a horse after this campaign. The hawk will be one of his skill upgrades, and the horse he'll just acquire in town. Because what's a Huntsman without some animal companions?
Shipping: He's going on a not date with Velvet. (It's a date.) HOW WILL THAT END... We shall see. Otherwise he's pretty laidback and chill about any attempts made on him, but he won't reciprocate anything.

Housing: A log cabin in the woods! Complete with a shed and storage house for all this meat he acquires... His cabin also has a mini dojo training room attached to it now, it's awesome.

• Business: Not exactly, but as mentioned was thinking of him offering his hunting services as well as selling his kills.

Seeking: Anything! But he does enjoy fighting, so sparring partners or rivals would be cool.
Offering: Rokurou can be a good "fun older brother" figure and friend. He can also help teach swordsmanship to anyone who might need it.

I really do like Bridge and Roku's CR, and Bridge could use an older brother figure. Learning swordmanship might be fun too.

And if he needs a sparring partner with hand-to-hand combat, Crane would definitely take him up on it.

Let him teach Bridge how to use the sword it will be so much fun. AND FISH AGAIN. ...Properly. and then use the cheat skill later.

I am also very interested in Rokurou meeting Crane. He'd be so fascinated and want to challenge him to see how he practices the martial arts.

Man, I remember when they met when Varian was last here, and Varian thought Rokurou was like an even cooler Eugene, and that... Honestly might linger a bit, despite the fact that Varian's hero-worship of Eugene is dead in the water. Down the line, he could use the "fun older brother" figure. I'd also love to see Rokurou fill that role for Hunk, and maybe encourage Hunk to take more chances and be a little bolder?

Also Della and Rokurou should meet in person and pal around, because that journal thread is gold.

!!! I REMEMBER THIS and I laughed so hard LMAO. Poor Eugene. But yess I'd be down for that because who better to help guide Varian to a better place than a daemon of questionable morals...! lmao. But in all seriousness, I would definitely be down with Rokurou helping both Varian and Hunk, and Hunk will be interesting since Rokurou knows Keith.

And yes HE NEEDS TO MEET THIS INTERESTING PERSON LMAO Since Della was at the BBQ party, he's at least seen her, but still. Tell him all about your adventures!!!
